A creator's checklist for staying visible on X
Ten settings and habits that keep an account searchable, suggestible and visible in replies, from someone who watches restrictions all day.
Most restrictions FSB finds are avoidable. This is the checklist we would give any creator who depends on X for an audience.
Settings (do once)
- Profile complete: photo, banner, bio, link. Empty profiles are filtered more readily.
- Email and phone verified in account settings.
- "Mark media as sensitive" off unless your media really is sensitive (Settings → Privacy and safety → Your posts).
- Old apps removed under Apps and sessions, especially follow/unfollow tools.
Habits (every day)
- No identical posts or replies. Rephrase, even for announcements.
- Links in the reply, not the post when reach matters (why).
- Fewer, better replies. A reply the author answers is worth far more than ten that get ignored.
- No hashtag walls. One or two relevant tags at most.
- Pace your activity. Bursts of follows, likes or replies look automated.
Monitoring
- Check monthly, and after any big change in reach. Add your account to an FSB dashboard and it is re-checked automatically with a history graph. Put the live status badge on your site or link-in-bio if you want your audience to see it too.
